Terms of service for Trase.

Effective: 12 April 2026

1. Parties

These terms are entered into between:

• Provider: Bixel Ventures, CVR 44897431 ("Trase", "we", "us")
• User: You, who create an account and use the service ("you", "your")

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you use Trase on behalf of a company, you warrant that you are authorised to bind the company.

These terms are governed by Danish law.

2. What is Trase?

Trase is an AI-powered receipt automation service for freelancers and small businesses. You upload bank statements (CSV) and our AI agent identifies your vendors, navigates their invoice pages, and retrieves your receipts automatically.

The service consists of:

• AI Mapper: Automatically matches transactions on your bank statement to vendors.
• AI Fetcher: Retrieves receipts (invoices, receipts) from your vendor portals via a Chrome Extension running in your own browser session.
• Cloud Vault: Encrypted EU-based storage for your retrieved receipts.

Trase is a tool, not an accounting programme. We do not provide financial, tax or legal advice. You are solely responsible for verifying retrieved receipts and for your own bookkeeping.

3. Account and registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You create an account with email or Google OAuth.
• To use AI Fetcher you must install Trase's Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store.
• One account per person. Accounts may not be shared.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You may delete your account at any time.
• You may not use Trase for unlawful purposes or to access portals you do not have access to.

4. The AI agent

AI Fetcher (our Cloud Computer Use Agent) navigates vendor portals on your behalf to retrieve receipts. By using Trase you acknowledge:

• Best-effort service: AI Fetcher cannot guarantee retrieval of every receipt. Portals may change their layout, require CAPTCHA, or require manual login (e.g. MitID). We do not guarantee a 100% success rate.
• Portal access: You authorise Trase to navigate vendor portals where you have an account in order to find and download your receipts. You must log in to these portals yourself when required.
• No credential storage: Trase does not store your portal passwords. The Chrome Extension uses cookies from your existing Chrome session.
• AI limitations: AI Fetcher may occasionally download an incorrect document or fail to find a receipt. Always verify retrieved receipts.
• Portal changes: Vendor portals may change their design without notice. This may temporarily affect AI Fetcher's ability to retrieve receipts from a particular portal.

5. Subscription and pricing

Trase offers the following subscriptions (prices in DKK, excl. VAT):

Annual subscription gives approximately 17% discount (you pay for 10 months instead of 12). Prices may also be shown in DKK.

6. Payment

• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, depending on your chosen billing period.
• All prices exclude VAT.
• Unused retrievals do not carry over to the next month — they reset at the new billing period.

7. Free features

• 3 free retrievals — no credit card required. Try Trase risk-free.
• Upload and AI Mapping are always free — regardless of subscription. You can upload bank statements and have transactions matched without paying.

8. Definition of a retrieval

A retrieval is a successful receipt delivered to your Cloud Vault. This means:

• Retries are free. If a retrieval fails (portal down, timeout, navigation failure), you do not pay. Only successful receipts count.
• Failed attempts do not count. You never pay for errors.

9. Refunds

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If Trase consistently fails to retrieve receipts from your vendors, contact us at hello@trase.work — we will find a fair solution.

Unused retrievals do not carry over to the next billing period and are not refunded.

10. Your obligations

You must not:

• Use Trase to access accounts or portals that do not belong to you.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or otherwise extract Trase's source code.
• Use Trase in any way that violates applicable law (including GDPR).
• Resell or redistribute access to Trase without permission.
• Share your Trase account with others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Your data

You own your data. We process it to deliver the service. See our privacy policy for the full description of our data processing.

• You can export your data at any time by contacting us.
• You can delete your account and all data via Settings (one-click deletion).
• Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days (except billing data required by Danish bookkeeping law).

12. Intellectual property

• Trase's property: The service, code, design, trademarks and all underlying technology belong to Bixel Ventures. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for its intended purpose while your subscription is active.
• Your property: Your data — bank statements, receipts, profile — belongs to you. We claim no rights over your data beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.

13. Data processing and privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy. Cookie information can be found in our cookie policy.

14. Availability and service stability

We strive to deliver a stable service with high uptime. However, we cannot guarantee 100% availability. We are not liable for:

• Vendor portal downtime or layout changes that prevent receipt retrieval.
• Temporary interruptions due to maintenance or updates.
• Errors caused by your internet connection or device.
• Portals that require CAPTCHA, MitID/NemID or other manual login steps that AI Fetcher cannot complete.

Planned maintenance is announced by email where possible. We do not offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA) in v1.

15. Limitation of liability

Trase is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for:

• Indirect loss, consequential loss, lost profits or loss of data.
• Errors or deficiencies in retrieved receipts.
• Actions taken by AI Fetcher on vendor portals (we do not control the content or availability of portals).
• Missed tax deadlines or incorrect bookkeeping resulting from use of Trase.

Our total liability to you is in all circumstances limited to the amount you have paid to Trase in the most recent 12 months of subscription.

This limitation does not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

16. Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings.
• The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• You retain access to Cloud Vault and your data until the end of the period.
• We may terminate your account with 30 days' notice if you materially breach these terms.
• Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted. You may export your receipts before then.
• Deletion cannot be undone.

17. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Trase after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be settled by Copenhagen City Court as the court of first instance.

19. Force majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to fulfil obligations due to circumstances beyond the party's reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, pandemic, power outages, internet outages or government action.
